Sky Spirit Studio + Consulting is an urban design and consulting studio focusing on decolonizing design and indigenous ways of knowing.
Sky Spirit Studio was founded in 1995 by Squamish Nation artist Wade Baker, Halikium, and Mary Tasi, rpp, mcip. Wade is a sculptor, and knowledge keeper, and Mary is an urban planning consultant, specializing in community engagement and project management. With their daughter Sierra joining them in 2018, with her Master’s in Environmental Design from the University College London in the UK, the studio is now an intergenerational family practice. The studio specializes in Coast Salish design and engagement. -
